I believe that our people are our most valuable asset, and we need to create an environment where they can freely share their opinions and they can learn, grow and excel. RX AFRICA prides itself on inclusion and diversity and encourages entrepreneurship as we strive to empower our people to create impactful events that always keep our clients’ needs at the front and centre.
Carol brings a diverse working background in the events industry to RX Africa. Over 30 years, Carol’s career has expanded into many sectors across the industry, and her expertise spans marketing, exhibition management, events, conferences, and venue and facility management.
She was the first-ever female chairperson of the Exhibition and Event Association of Southern Africa (EXSA) and former chairperson of the Association of African Exhibition Organisers (AAXO), which was formed to provide a collective platform of address and representation for professional exhibition organisers throughout Africa.
Thanks to her continued passion, hard work, dedication and management, RX Africa is one of the largest and most successful exhibition and venue management companies in Southern Africa, and is growing its footprint across the African continent with many new ventures already underway or in the pipeline.
Our business thrives when we meet our customer’s needs, and Rachel has deep experience in making sure that a dedication to great customer experience - backed by data driven decision making - is at the forefront of everything we deliver.
In her thirteen years with RELX, Rachel has led business units delivering news, content, and technology to the legal industry at Law360 and LexisNexis, mostly recently in New York, after a starting stint in New Zealand and Australia.
The Exhibition space is a new adventure for Rachel, but she knows that her track record of navigating complex and rapidly changing environments, and fostering agility, innovation and a clear view of future direction will fit the bill.
Rachel likes to take part in driving positive change – speaking at Women in Leadership events and mentoring diverse and under-represented people whenever she can. What really motivates Rachel is seeing a team working tightly together to impact, innovate, and deliver something brilliant to the market.
